Wanted Full-Time Wood Craftsman / Steering Wheel Manufacturer
Location: Christchurch City (Ferrymead/Waltham)
Job Type: Full-Time (35-40 hours/week - some flexibility here for the right applicant)
Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience. Wages or contract available

Jeffs Competition Steering creates premium, high-quality wooden steering wheels for custom automotive enthusiasts.
We blend traditional woodworking craftsmanship with modern precision to build functional art. We are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated maker to help us craft our ever growing line of products.
What You Will Do
Prepare and assemble internal metal cores with the wooden rims.
Select and prepare timber for manufacturing.
Operate woodworking machinery including routers, table saw, and lathes
Sand, stain, and apply protective finishes to achieve a flawless surface.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet strict quality standards.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: 1β2+ years in professional woodworking,carpentry, cabinetry, or fine finish work.
Skills: Strong hand-eye coordination and experience with fine-grit sanding and shaping.
Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for wood grain patterns, symmetry, and minor defects.
Reliability: Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic for a production environment.
Safety-Minded: Strict adherence to safety protocols regarding dust collection and power tools.
