HEY YOU, slope legends!!

Late message I know, been a mental day......

ITS THE LAST SLOPE SOARING EVENING OF THE SEASON.

Winds are light at around 10kmph but the sun is out and its Flight RC's shout for Fish & Chips.

Even though it is light out there it will still be good for the tidler models. You know the light weight stuff, Weasels, Alulas, Radians etc.
And dont forget anything electric assist.

Being a NE and for ease of access I will be at Taylors Mistake site between 6 & 6:30pm with fish and chops for tea for all to share.

Hey Slope Aeronauts.

I have been watching conditions on and off all afternoon and can say its just getting worse.
With the tropical storm that is heading our way and due to land tomorrow I think we are currently in the "calm before the storm phase".
Current conditions are swinging between SW and NW and wind speed is very low.

So unfortunatly conditions are not suited for slope soaring tonight.

Lets look FWD to next week.

As normal, weather data will be up on our FB page in a sec.

I have never in my days seen what is happening outside.

It's hot, the sun is scorching but it's a SW.............
I do note up top its more of a NNW ‐ Allandale.

Anyway, lets keep an eye on what happens over the next couple of hours and if it stays SW down low - Taylors weather station.
We should head to tbe transmitter carpark.
If there are changes that a nice central place to easily access other sites.

IT's SLOPE SOARING WEDNESDAY!!

And what a ripper of a day we have with good solid NE winds @ 17 gusting to 27kmph at Taylors and again up at Allandale it going the wrong way.

So to Taylors we go I say.

Now, re Taylors...........
I have been made aware of an incident between a paraglider and a RC glider on Saturday just been (the 7th).
This involved contact between the 2 aircraft.
No ingerys but the CAA are investigating.
If this was you or you know who it was Dave Griffin, in total confidentiality needs to have a chat to learn more about it.
This is done with the complete understanding of recent behaviours of various paragliders at the site.
Reach out to him on 021 352 595, or me for if you need too.

Given the amount of rain we have had lately I think it best to stick to the Taylors Mistake site for tonight.

Right at the beginning of a massive rain and hail downpore...........
Geeze we got wet stripping the pallets and rushing them inside.

If you are lucky enough to have pre-ordered a model from us here at Flight RC. Feel free to pop in tonight to collect and we will do our best to find yours in the middle of the kaos.
