Storing your mobility scooter? 🛵

A few simple steps can help keep it in great condition while it's not in use:

🏡 Store it indoors in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Wipe it down first and use a breathable cover to keep dust away.

🛠️ Before storing, remove the key and inflate the tyres to the recommended PSI. While in storage, move the scooter occasionally to help prevent flat spots. Before using it again, check the tyres and give it a quick safety check.

🔋 Battery care: Check your owner's manual for the recommended storage method. As a general guide, lithium batteries should be stored at 50-70% charge, while lead-acid batteries should be stored fully charged and topped up every 4-6 weeks.

Flying with your mobility equipment? A little preparation can help ensure it arrives safely. ✈️

✅ Arrive early & take photos before check-in (essential if you need to make a damage claim).
✅ Remove loose accessories like cushions, joysticks, keys and baskets, and pack them in your carry-on where possible. (Mobility aids don't count towards your standard carry-on allowance.)
✅ Attach simple handling instructions with lifting points, freewheel mode, folding/storage info and your contact details.
✅ Check your airline's battery requirements before you fly - removable lithium batteries must travel in the cabin.
