Our handcrafted Kitchen Garden Markers have found a new home.

Designed and laser engraved right here in Geraldine, these timber markers are a practical and attractive way to label your vegetable garden. From carrots and beetroot to beans, tomatoes, herbs and more, they're made to help keep your garden organised while looking right at home amongst your seedlings.

We're incredibly grateful to the team at Geraldine Garden Centre for supporting locally made products.

BBQ Timer Bottle Opener – Handmade

A bit of fun for the BBQ area, man cave or deck.

These handcrafted bottle openers are made from natural pine timber rounds and laser engraved with our popular BBQ Timer design.

Each opener is fitted with a quality cast metal bottle opener and finished with a durable polyurethane varnish, making it suitable for outdoor use in a covered BBQ area or on the deck.

These are the last four available. Unfortunately, I can no longer source these pine rounds, so once they're sold, they're gone.

As they are made from natural timber, every piece has its own grain, shape and character.

Not just for chopping boards...

Our KJCreations Wood Butter is made right here by us using our own food-safe formulation.

Perfect for keeping wooden chopping boards, serving boards, utensils, and salad bowls looking their best. It also works beautifully on wooden tool handles, leather boots and belts, and even as a traditional shoe polish.

A little goes a long way—just rub on, leave for a few minutes, then buff with a soft cloth.

Sometimes a new product starts with a simple question: "What can this become?"

A while ago, we were fortunate to acquire a quantity of reclaimed roofing slate salvaged from a building on the corner of Colombo Street and Moorhouse Avenue in Christchurch following the Canterbury earthquakes.

After plenty of experimenting, cutting, shaping, and a few nervous moments along the way, the first piece from our new slate collection is finally complete.

It seemed fitting that the first design should be Te Iwa o Matariki, celebrating remembrance, reflection, and new beginnings.

From a Christchurch rooftop to our workshop in Geraldine, this piece has already had quite a journey.

We're looking forward to seeing where the next chapter takes it.

The first day of winter has arrived.

Soon the Matariki stars will rise, marking the beginning of the Māori New Year and a time to gather with whānau and friends.

A time to reflect on the year that has passed.

A time to remember those who are no longer with us.

A time to celebrate the present and share hopes for the future.

This year, we are excited to introduce our Te Iwa o Matariki Collection — a range inspired by the nine stars of Matariki and the traditions they represent.

Crafted in Geraldine from recycled New Zealand timbers, each piece is designed to bring people together around the table, where stories are shared, memories are honoured, and new traditions begin.

Each piece is handcrafted here in South Canterbury and celebrates both native birdlife and the story behind the timber.
