Asbestos in toys isn’t something parents should have to worry about. There are toy safety standards for a reason. And if we, when we were first starting out, could get EcoSplat Reusable Water Balloons safety tested, there’s no reason big corporations can’t do the same.

And beach sand is better!

NZ is not on the right side of history anymore. The first conference about transitioning away from fossil fuels has just happened (better late than never!). And was NZ a participant? No we were not. I guess our honorable leaders prefer this fuel crisis and severe storms doubling in the last year to a stable climate and renewable energy. Thanks a bunch.

Tūtae kēhua is my favourite fungus because its Māori name means Poo of a Ghost 👻 It’s more boring English name is basket fungus. Look out for it after autumn rains.

Once you start spotting nature it’s hard to stop. Get your hands on Nature Fun card games to kick start your nature spotting habit! Link in bio 👆👆👆

Can’t let this lovely cliff face go by without using it as a backdrop. After all, these card games are all about noticing nature, and being part of it!

NZ’s Overshoot Day was on the 10 April. This is the day that humanity would have used all the resources that the earth could regenerate in a year, if everyone lived like a Kiwi.
How do you talk to kids about such a worrying day? Read our blog for tips, link in bio ☝️☝️☝️

Qualifications: we make toys; we know nothing about AI.
Limitations: we have ovaries, so can’t raise capital for nonsense.

Puzzles give you a rush of dopamine and a sense of achievement! That’s why we made one! 🐳💚🧩 In yesterday’s guardian there was an article about the calming aspect of puzzles. And we all need that these days!

If you’re in Dunedin this weekend for Wild Dunedin and have feelings about climate change sloshing around with no where to put them. Come to hear me speak about Living in the Climate Crisis and how to turn anger into action.
I’ll also be at Nature Dome on Sunday with the Whale Poo Party, so bring the kids along to learn about how important whale poo is to the climate!
