"Art is a healing tool for me."
π There is something truly special about creating taonga for others. Each piece tells a story, its meaning represents a time & a space that connects me with the reserver.π
Each piece of art was made with love and intention for someone else is a truly heartwarming experience & honor to be apart of. πΏ
Only a few times a year I will create x amount of pieces. But, you see I to have a piece of me missing, my husband who is overseas for long lengths of time each year, he is my piece of completion. I use the power of Art to reconnect with myself, to heal, to step into my innerself. π«Ά
β€οΈ The mind space I step into it truly supports me to express the love i have in my heart. I can hear the joy in others, i sense the connectionβ¨οΈ
Its not forever just for a short amount of time.
A short space of time from us both.
Creating these taonga help me & my mental health during a time that allows me to reconnect with my ownself, my identity, my thoughts, my power of self belief.
When i create taonga for others, we are not just giving them a gift, but a piece of our heart and soul. We are sharing a part of ourselves with them, a tangible reminder of the love and connection we share.
