Hi Everybody.
I thought you might like an update of my journey,
I have come through the surgery well. When I woke up my left leg had no feeling and I couldn’t move it at all. Apparently I had air pockets in my head where the tumour was. It had flattened out my brain, but they said it would all straighten out over time. They gave me oxygen to move it along quicker. Rob said they just needed to heat it up and it would pop out like a tin roof. Lol
I have been working on my leg - thanks to my lovely daughter in law, who is about to graduate as a physiotherapist. I can now walk but still use a walking stick. Hopefully I will dump that very soon.
Rob took me for lots of walks along the Avon river and around the park in a wheelchair. It was fun and lovely to get out in the fresh air. After 10 days in hospital, I was finally allowed to escape and head home.
We are now waiting for my next scan appointment to check out what is happening inside my head. Then to my surgeon to talk about what happens next.
I am hoping to open the website again in around two weeks time.
The beautiful flowers are from Suzy at Kaiapoi Florist. Aren’t they just gorgeous. Thank you all for your well wishes and thoughts. It helped me a lot to read them all.
I have been stitching heaps, I have never done so much stitching during the daytime. Getting through my current project faster than I thought. I Hope to see you all soon, maybe next month at Sunday group.
Love, Debbie
