Most exciting pulls we see come in at a few hundred dollars, but this insane card is selling for thousands! Andrew and Alas pulled this Rocks.D.Xebec pirate crew super parallel from their event prizing last Friday night, and to say they’re stoked would be a massive understatement! It just goes to show it doesn’t take winning a hobby to get great cards, just joining in the fun is enough. Congratulations guys, you earned this!

Another awesome night of games here at Card Merchant Christchurch! We’ve got 52 commander players working their way through a series of challenges as part of our school holiday commander event! Some pretty sweet promos have been given out already, and there are plenty more in our box of goodies!

And 30 one piece players are joining us tonight for their regular hobby, a number which seems to be the new normal. Our community has grown like crazy over the last few months, and it’s wonderful to have the store even more full with players enjoying the game.

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight!

Thanks to everyone who came along to our events today!

We had a solid 36 players in our One Piece Junior League, with Jack Wang taking the win! (Jokes, it was EGB.) Toni was also playing but he remains washed 🥸

We also had a massive 48 players turn up for our 2-Headed Giant Prerelease for Reality Fracture.

Thanks again to everyone who came down and made it a great day!

Having a team of 10 means getting everyone together on one night for a team dinner is something that rarely lines up!

This team dinner has been a long time in the waiting. Huge shout-out to our awesome Card Merchant Christchurch team for joining us for dinner, escape rooms and ice cream this evening!

Our Reality Fracture prerelease has begun, and with it, the Jacening! We have an incredible 76 players in store exploring the echoverse tonight, hampered only by a shortage of chairs. For the perfect universe, Jace really should have planned for this. We have another two events this weekend, with tickets still available for Saturday, so there’s still time to join the action!

And our regular one piece players are being very accomodating of the hubbub, with thirty players joining us for hobby tonight. Hopefully they’re practicing well for the Extra Grand Battle this Sunday!

Thanks to everyone who joined us today, it’s always a delight to see the store so full. We hope you have as much fun playing these events as we do running them!

Players for the MTG Reality Fracture pre-release!

Unfortunately, our pre-release kits have been delayed and will not be with us for at least another week, meaning we won’t have them available for the full pre-release weekend.

Thankfully, our booster boxes did arrive today, which means we do have booster packs available and will be moving ahead with our regular pre-release events using booster packs instead.

As an apology to players who were looking forward to using the pre-release kits, anyone who has already purchased a ticket will receive a $5 store credit to make up for not receiving the full contents of a pre-release kit. Anyone purchasing a ticket on the day will instead pay $5 less than the advertised ticket price.

The events will otherwise move ahead as planned, with six booster packs per person.

There have also been a number of product delays affecting the Reality Fracture release. On release day, only booster packs will be available, with the rest of the products arriving in waves over the following few weeks.
