In 2003 Leonard Derek Taylor, a well known person in the industry and patron of the NZ Antique Arms, commissioned Jonathon Jones, Shooters Supplies Gunsmith and Engraver, and ex prestigious Holland & Holland Gunmakers to re barrel and engrave a pistol.
Jon took to this task and re-barreled Len's Re*****on Rolling Block (Presumably in 12.17×44mmR) to .22LR Calibre.
Once finished Jon then set to full cover engrave it which he did with his signature rose scroll engraving. He inletted an ounce of gold (almost $9,000 these days!!) and turned it into border scroll and a very intricate eagle on either side of the action. He put his name in gold gothic lettering covered by gold scroll in the top of the barrel just in front of the rear sight. He also signed his work J.Jones 03 just in front of the trigger guard. The high grade walnut pistol grip and forend is hand checkered by Jon and the pistol grip and forend screws are engraved. The grip cap has been engraved with gold inlay 'LDT" He put a gold ring at the muzzle, gold inlayed scroll engraving on the front sight and the same on the rear tang and around the hammer. He then made the brass stock that is pictured to go on the pistol, with a scroll design in keeping with the rest of the pistol. He engraved the bottom of the stock with the inscription "Built and engraved for Leonard D Taylor" together with a lot of scroll work around the stock and a engraved Poppy on the head of the takedown screw.
Len at some point made a custom wooden case for it and custom fitted the baize lining to suit the pistol and stock.
This is a truly fine example of one mans workmanship and makes a showpiece in ANY collection

Both John McClaine & Martin Riggs!!
The Beretta 92FS for sale is an Italian-made masterpiece in firepower that is the most trusted, accurate, and durable sidearm carried by US Military, Allied Forces, and Law Enforcement units worldwide. Nothing surpasses the 92FS in reliability, as it employs an open-slide, short-recoil delayed locking-block system, which virtually eliminates stove-piping, and features streamlined cycling and feeding no matter how many rounds you fire. These sidearms are engineered to be match-grade right out of the box and prove it consistently by surpassing the US military requirement of a 10-shot group of 3” or less at 50 meters. For the look of finely-honed steel, the Beretta 92FS Inox comes in a stainless finish that is so pristine, it has been the gun of choice in countless TV shows and movies.

.177 Limited Edition Daisy "Christmas Dream" Air Rifle from the 1983 movie "A Christmas Story"
If you’re like every American of the last three generations (and many more to come), watching the 1983 holiday classic A Christmas Story is a treasured family holiday tradition. What you may not know is that at the time that movie was filmed there wasn’t any such thing as a Daisy Red Ryder range rifle with a compass and “that thing that tells time” in the stock. Daisy actually built one for use in the movie, though, and since then it has resided in the Daisy Museum in Rogers, Arkansas, where the venerable BB gun manufacturer makes its home.

In honor of young Ralphie’s dream gift, the Daisy Museum launched a new, numbered, collectible, limited-edition BB gun that is sure to be a favorite of not just collectors but the general public: the 35th Anniversary edition of Daisy's "Christmas Dream" Red Ryder BB gun. (And, yes, it has the compass inset, a sundial and the famous Red Ryder logo on the stock.)

Although “Christmas dreams” are created in the minds of hopeful children all over the world, this particular Christmas dream comes straight from Rogers in an unassuming package with retro label. Only 2,500 of these guns will be made, with a unique number of 0001 of 2500 to 2500 of 2500 laser engraved. Only the lowest numbers, up to 1,000 of 2500 will be available from now until Christmas—and there are low numbers still available! It is exclusively available from the Daisy Museum in Rogers, Arkansas

The Webley Mark II Service Air Rifle: A Collector’s Dream in Depth
The Webley Mark II Service air rifle holds a legendary status among airgun enthusiasts. Produced by the esteemed British company Webley & Scott from 1929 onwards, this wasn’t your average plinking airgun. The Mark II Service was a robust, full-sized target rifle that offered a unique shooting experience and exceptional craftsmanship, making it a coveted piece for collectors today.

A Legacy Brand Steps into Airguns

Webley & Scott, established in 1795, were renowned for their fi****ms, particularly their iconic revolvers used by British forces for over a century. Their foray into airguns began in the early 1920s with the Webley Mark I Service air rifle. Recognizing the potential for a high-quality target air rifle, Webley built upon the success of the Mark I with the introduction of the Mark II Service in 1929.

Engineering for Enthusiasts: The Mark II’s Distinctive Features

The Mark II Service was a substantial leap forward. Compared to its predecessor, it boasted a larger and more robust build. Here’s a detailed look at what made this rifle stand out:

Size Matters: This wasn’t a lightweight plinker. The Mark II Service had an overall length of 41.5 inches, with a hefty 25.5-inch barrel. This impressive length provided exceptional balance and stability for accurate target shooting.
Interchangeable Calibers: A defining feature of the Mark II Service was its versatility. Unlike many air rifles of the time, it wasn’t limited to a single caliber. The rifle was designed to accept interchangeable barrels in .177, .22, and .25 calibers. This allowed shooters to experiment with different pellet sizes and power levels to find their ideal match for specific target disciplines. Complete sets with all three barrels are incredibly rare and prized possessions for collectors.
Cocking: The Mark II Service c***s with a an over lever action utilizing the barrel as the cocking lever as in the Webley patented pistol design. This cocking action offered a smooth and powerful operation, contributing to the rifle’s reputation for accuracy.
Target-Oriented Sights: The Mark II Service came equipped with target-ready sights. The rear sight was a fully adjustable aperture sight, allowing for precise windage and elevation adjustments. The front sight, typically a ramp or globe sight, provided a clear aiming point.
Beyond the Basics: A Look at Additional Details

The Mark II Service wasn’t just about core functionality; it showcased Webley’s commitment to quality and user experience. Here are some additional details that added to the rifle’s appeal:

Trigger: The Mark II boasted a single-stage trigger, known for its crisp and predictable pull. This was essential for precise target shooting, allowing shooters to focus on aiming without worrying about trigger sensitivity.
Safety: The rifle incorporated a safety mechanism to prevent accidental discharges. This safety feature was crucial, especially for competition use.
Stock: The Mark II typically came with a classic walnut stock, known for its strength and aesthetics. The stock design varied slightly depending on production batches, with some featuring a pistol grip and others sporting a straighter grip.
Finish: The rifle was typically blued, giving it a sleek and professional appearance. The bluing process also provided an added layer of protection against corrosion.
Accessories: Some Mark II Service rifles were sold as sets, including a padded carrying case, cleaning tools, and a selection of pellets. These complete sets are especially sought-after by collectors today.
The “Holy Grail” of Airgun Collecting: Rarity and Value

Production of the Webley Mark II Service ceased in 1946. The total number of rifles produced is unknown, but it’s believed to be relatively low compared to other air rifles of the era. This scarcity, combined with the rifle’s unique features and association with the Webley name, has propelled the Mark II Service to legendary status among airgun collectors.
