THE COLOMBO

The Colombo takes Christchurch retail to a new level with boutique shopping, cafés and European-influenced food hall. Find something just for you.

The Colombo is a unique fashion, food, home and entertainment shopping precinct in Christchurch, New Zealand. Home to over 30 top-quality boutiques, retail stores and eateries. The Colombo is Canterbury’s elite retail and entertainment establishment. It builds on the region’s iconic character with a distinctive, European-inspired niche that indulges in world-class trends. What defines The Colombo is its harmonious blend of retailers, including an arts cinema, decadent culinary providers, and many fashion, beauty and homeware boutiques. The residents share an innovative attitude towards retail, and connect the people of Canterbury with pioneering international offerings that effortlessly fuse with local lifestyles. The Colombo is dog friendly and family friendly, with retailers selling designer babywear, childrenswear, accessories and toys. Dogs on lead are allowed in the main central area of The Colombo, and each retailer has their own dog policy, so ask the team at your favourite shops whether it's OK to bring your furry friend in. Owners and renowned property developers, the Cooper family, bring their architectural expertise to the centre, giving it a unique aesthetic edge. The carefully thought out location in the downtown suburb of Sydenham makes for an easily accessible destination in an evolving district. The Colombo is proudly New Zealand owned.
