Kris has been playing with these Dong-A My Color Dual Tip Markers.

They are a water-based ink so can be used as they are, or pulled out with some water.

The markers are double ended with two different sized nibs, and come in a set of 24 vivid colours.

Melting Pot | Te Huanui Art Gallery

Melting Pot brings together four artists, each on their own distinctive creative journey. From sweeping landscapes to intricate insect sculptures, expressive abstracts and much-loved wildlife, there's something to surprise and delight around every corner.

Enjoy work by Lauren Carmichael, Sarah Cavill, Frank Sin and Martin Langlands.

Lauren is one of our regulars and has been a TDR customer for many moons now! She works in mixed media, creating intuitive pieces that evolve as she works.

The exhibition runs through until the 27th of August, so head out to Darfield for a visit!

With a Sta-wet palette- your paint will literally "Stay Wet" and be good to go and ready to use the next time you sit down to paint.

Masterson's palettes keep acrylics, and other water-based paints, moist on the palette for hours while you work.
At the end of a painting session, simply close the lid and the paints will "stay wet" for a good couple of weeks.

Tomorrow night is also the opening of the NZ Artists' Exhibition held at Cashmere Primary School.

This weekend you can enjoy the talents of the Sumner Art Society folk.

You will find the exhibition at the Mt Pleasant Yacht Club, right by the Ferrymead bridge, on the banks of the Estuary.

With over 20 artists working in a range of media, this is one to pop on your calendars and get along to.

The exhibition opens on Friday night, and runs from 10am until 5pm on Saturday 1st August and Sunday 2nd August.
