Movie Lunch at Whareora

Wednesday, 5 August | 11.00am

Join us at Whareora for our next movie lunch... we're heading to the countryside for a quirky little mystery!

🎬 The Sheep Detective

When a sheep farmer's prized ram mysteriously disappears, an unlikely detective is called upon to investigate. What follows is a gentle, funny and charming rural mystery with plenty of sheep, a few surprises, and a distinctly European sense of humour!

🍽️ Bring a simple plate to share and enjoy lunch, a movie and good company.

Whether you're a regular or you've never been along before, you are very welcome. Bring a friend and come along for a relaxed morning of friendship, laughter and a little bit of sheep-related detective work! 🐑🔎

📍 Whareora Community House
8 Athelstan Street, Spreydon
🕚 Wednesday, 5 August at 11.00am

Everyone welcome — we'd love to see you there! ❤️

💛 A little help for our Whareora boutique 💛

Our lovely little second-hand boutique at Whareora Community House is looking a bit bare when it comes to accessories, and we would love a little help from our community.

If you’re having a tidy-up of your jewellery box or wardrobe, we are currently in need of:

• Necklaces
• Bracelets
• Earrings
• Belts
• Bags

They don’t need to be fancy – everyday pieces are perfect! Even a few items can help make the shop feel full and inviting again.

The boutique is run by our wonderful volunteers, and every sale helps support the activities and community programmes we offer here at Whareora. It’s all part of creating a welcoming space where people can connect, share a laugh, and feel at home.

If you have items you’d like to donate, you’re very welcome to drop them off at Whareora Community House from 10am to 1pm Monday to Saturday at 8 Athelstan Street opposite Barrington Mall.

Thank you for helping us keep our little shop full of treasures for the community ✨
