New Zealand hunting is its own beast, and your pack should be too. With steep terrain, unpredictable weather, long carries, and plenty of river crossings, our conditions are unlike anywhere else in the world. And gear built with those conditions front of mind, from the ground up, just performs differently. Knowing who made it, how they made it, and why they made it that way is what separates good kit from great kit.

Our packs are designed and built by a team that actually hunts in these conditions. Every material choice, every stitch, every feature is made with our kind of hunting in mind.

Low profile with high capability: meet The MiniMAP, our Modular Assault Pack.

Built on the proven MAP platform and shortened for a lower profile when worn on a plate carrier, it has the same capability but less bulk. Featuring a 2L hydration sleeve, external ORP pouch, PALS webbing on both sides, and D-rings for removable shoulder pads, so it runs as a standalone pack when you need it to.

Compact by design, and capable by nature.

Last week we headed along to the NZDA North Canterbury club night, and what a night it was!

Awesome turnout from the club members, and a real chance to get in front of the right people as the ones who are actually out there doing it. We walked through some of our core products, talked about the TwinNeedle story, and how we fit into the hunting community.

The highlight for us? The conversation afterwards. Catching up with members one-on-one, hearing about the gear they'd used over the years, and taking note of the kit they'd love to see us make.

Nights like this are exactly why we value our relationship with the Getting in front of people who are passionate about the outdoors and take their gear seriously is what it's all about.

For @, the outdoors isn't a hobby, it's a way of life. From pursuing game in the rugged Canterbury hills to pig hunting, horse guiding, diving, and getting his hands dirty, Wyatt does it all with a genuine respect for the land and everything on it.

His feed is an honest window into that life, and we're stoked to see TwinNeedle gear along for the ride!

Got your own field photos? Tag we want to see where you're taking it!

Cold and wet is where things get serious, and if you're not dressed for it, the hill will let you know pretty quickly. Your body loses heat fast the moment moisture gets in, so whether that's rain, a river crossing, or your own sweat on a hard climb, the fix is simpler than you might think.

𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲: Merino or synthetic, it doesn't matter much, but it needs to pull moisture away from your skin. No cotton, ever.

𝗠𝗶𝗱: A fleece or synthetic fill that breathes while it insulates, as this will trap heat when you stop.

**Outer**: This can be a hardshell or softshell, depending on conditions, built to take whatever the weather throws at it, but it's also your last line of defence.

The golden rule is to adjust before you overheat rather than after. Ventilate on the climb, button up on the stops, and always keep a dry base layer sealed in your pack because it's the one thing you'll be glad you brought.
