We have two vintage Rupert Bear Annuals in the shop at the moment.
Both are in reasonable condition for their age; the 1960 one has had the Magic Painting pictures 'painted'. the 1974 one has a name in pencil on one of the front pages.
Price is $15 for each one.

We have another copy of "Here on the Hill – A century of Cashmere’s primary school and community" (Cashmere Primary School Centennial Committee, 2000; Small, John Joseph, 1925-2004)
Cashmere Primary has just celebrated its 125th anniversary and this very clean copy of the centennial book is keenly sought by past pupils and residents of Cashmere.

The last one of these we had was snapped up very quickly!

This is the definitive history, covering pre-1848 Māori occupation, early traders, and the Scottish settlement, focusing on the provincial and post-provincial eras. It highlights the “Wakefield” model of organised and systematic colonisation and is widely considered a landmark publication.

First one is "Heroes of the R.A.F – the best adventure stories from the ‘RAF Flying Review’"
1961 – various authors. Dustjacket strengthened
Ten stories of World War II flying aces, including a chapter on the New Zealander Edgar ‘Cobber’ Kain, an ex-Christ’s College boy, who joined the Royal Air Force in 1936 at 18, and was the first of their pilots to be awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross. Credited with at least 17 enemy kills between 1939 and his death in France in June 1940. ‘Cobber’ became a legend in his own time.
