Forever Green is a Christchurch based landscaping company and has been serving the region since 1987 The Topiary plants are between 5 and 10 years plus old.

Big trees and shrubs
Grown in Canterbury conditions the trees are hardy, from 2 to 5 metres in height, ideal for home gardens, lifestyle blocks and farms. They are often used to create privacy from neighbours or are used as specimen trees in lawns, front entrance ways, driveways and barbeque areas for shade. Fruit trees
Fruit trees are seeing a revival in the modern garden. With a selection of apples, apricots, plums, pears, olives, Feijoa, even chestnuts and walnuts, we can supply all your fruiting tree needs. Topiary
Originated from Egypt and transformed by the French and the English people, today topiary is used outside but also as an indoor accessory. They are ideal for terrace gardens/containers or as a great fashion statement for entrance ways or courtyards. The main shapes we have in stock are spirals, single head, buns and cones

Native trees, shrubs, grasses
We have exclusively one block full of native trees and shrubs and grasses that will thrive in Canterbury conditions. With such a large range of sizes and varieties we can match your budget to get the desired selection of natives for your garden. Garden hedging
We provide a wide range of garden hedging suitable for the home garden lifestyle blocks and farms. Some of the popular hedging lines we stock are Leyland cypress, Photinia ‘Red Robin’, Buxus, Escallonia, Lonicera and Teucrium to name but a few.’ Our hedging stock is often grown off site so we can price up your hedging option, just give us a call with your hedging needs

Shelter Trees
We can supply large quantities of Leyland hedging, Poplar and Alders for lifestyle blocks and farms. We also stock semi-mature shelter for the instant shelter belt around houses, such as 2m Leyland Cypress and 2 metre Pittosporum.

MEET THE FINALISTS | LACHLAN BENSEMANN

Lachlan Bensemann brings a strong mix of agriculture, horticulture and landscape construction to this year’s final of Young Landscaper of the Year 2026, brought to you by Registered Master Landscapers New Zealand dmasterlandscapers

The 27-year-old Lead Hand with Forever Green Landscapes spent five years working on a vegetable farm before moving into landscaping.

Since then, he has completed Level 3 and Level 4 Landscape Construction qualifications and developed skills across paving, concrete, timber work, irrigation, machinery, planting and lawns.

For Lachlan, landscaping is much more than physical work. It is about problem-solving, levels, drainage, design and seeing useful spaces come together.

He is especially looking forward to the build and technical stations.
