Welcome to my Woolshed.
Here are the lamb fleeces off my woolly ewe lambs. I have trimmed the lamb tip off so you only have premium nice usable wool. They are all of high quality and no vegetable matter.
All fleeces 2-3kg. Price. Romney type $10 per kg
Corriedale type $12 per kg.
Postage aprox NI $14. SI $16.

A rare beautiful winter solstice day in the Manawatu. Just had the ewe mob in the yards to draft out the winter shorn ewes ready for shearing.
The summer shorn ewes are off back to their paddock, leaving the woolly girls behind.
It might take 2 or three days of in and out of the shed to get these woolly girls dry enough for shearing. The belly and beck wool takes ages to dry fully. It’s so much easier to shear in the summer.
We winter shear with a cover comb which leaves a layer of fluff on the sheep to protect from the weather.
They then go out to a sheltered paddock with trees and with long saved up grass.

Thankyou Woolfest for an amazing well run event. Huge crowds turned up and we were really happy with our sales. Many people were return customers and it is lovely to get the feedback and see the delightful creations made from our wool. My two sheepskin entries had pleasing results as well. Eight very high quality sheepskins would have made it hard to judge and it could have gone in any direction.
The Champion was a brown tinged badgerface corriedale. Second was a moorit spots sheepskin.
