Brighton Gala Day - Dunedin 2025: Fun for All Ages!

Get ready for an unforgettable day of fun, food, and festivities at the 29th Annual Brighton Gala Day! Join us at the Brighton Domain on Sunday, January 19th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., as this beloved free-entry event transforms into a vibrant community celebration. This year’s Gala Day promises non-stop excitement for all, drawing 10,000–12,000 visitors for free-entry fun.
Explore 200 vibrant stalls, including 30 mouthwatering food vendors offering everything from classic Kiwi eats to international flavours. Entertainment? There’s plenty! Amusement rides will thrill adventure-seekers, while Otago Helicopters offers breathtaking scenic flights (additional costs apply), there will also be a visit from the Harbour Master’s boat this year.
Kids and families will love the day’s packed schedule, featuring live entertainment, amusement rides, an exciting science education session from Tūhura Otago Museum, and plenty of surprises. It’s not just about fun – it’s a community effort with many dedicated volunteers from the Green Island Lions, and Surf Life Saving Otago, who will be collecting for the club throughout the event to raise much-needed funds for the event. Organiser, Colin Weatherall, contributes the success of the event to the wonderful volunteers.

Merry Christmas to friends new and old. This year we have gone from wanting to start seeing pops and not sure how. To being able to sell and have fun at markets.

We have loved getting to meet new people aswell. The main thing we enjoy and our goal, is helping people find their sort after pop at a fair and reasonable price.

Here's to more fun next year and growing more :)

Matts Collectables now has mobile eftpos available. We have gone digital and can now do paywave and swipe cards at all markets. Let's hope to see you all there and more ways to pay :)
