Have you been for a ceramic painting session at The Makers Lounge yet?

We offer 3 session times a day for all ages from beginner's to advanced artists.

10:30am-12pm
12:30pm-2pm
2:30pm-4pm

There is a wide range of pieces to choose from $30-$65 & a vibrant choice of underglaze colours to create your masterpiece.

You then leave your pieces with our experienced team who gloss glaze & professionally fire them in our kiln to make them food safe.

Anyone who paints ceramics with us also automatically goes in our monthly draw to win a $50 ceramic painting gift voucher.

There is up to a two week turn around after you paint for collection, possibly longer during school holidays due to how busy we are.

Children are to be supervised by a parent or caregiver at all times.

Maker Highlight.

Lyndsey from has been with The Makers Lounge since we opened in June 2024, we're so blessed to have her part of the store.

Lyndsey has always been so supportive & encouraging of the space, we look forward to her popping in to refresh her gorgeous products & have a catch up.

The life of Lyndsey's crafty creative items start with her friend's sheep in Tapanui.

From shearing the sheep, washing, carding, using hand spinning, knitting, crocheting, weaving or felting skills,beach item lives & breathes sustainability, natural, handmade & locally made.

Her products are slow craft.
It's not a high production factory & she doesn't have heaps of stock and that's because she's passionate about quality & uniqueness, and we all know that truly good things take time.

Wool is making a comeback in popularity & she's glad to be playing a part in it.
It would be awesome if you would like to support a local fibre & textile artist that supports the New Zealand wool industry.
