Fox's Cottage Our quilt shop is a haven for quilters and knitters, in our lovely wee town on the edge of the Manawatu River.

We are all packed ready for Symposium and our South Island Popup Shop Tour. A huge thanks to Tim and Chris for packing the van with the guidance of Cheryl. Well done guys and girls for all your hard heavy lifting which is very much appreciated. Jenny and Cheryl will start their journey tomorrow and away for 1 month. Check out Cheryl in the back of the van - this is where she will be travelling whilst Jenny has the compfy front seats lol lol

Today the Cottage was humming with the Journal ladies working on month 8 of the 10 month course and what a wonderful creative bunch of ladies - beautiful work ladies. We also had 2 Angels plus Cheryl and Jenny out the back packing, making kits and getting ready some lovely stands for Symposium and Luchelle holding the fort out in the shop - run off her feet today.

11 days to go until Symposium setup. We are ramping up ready to pack the van next Saturday.

It was a busy day at the Cottage today with packaging kits and projects for Symposium and our popup shops throughout the South Island during October 2026. A huge thankyou to all of our Angels who volunteer their time at the Cottage month in and month out. And not forgetting our Angels that volunteer their time working on samples from their home. Angels you know who you are and without you all the Cottage wouldn't be what it is today.
Also thankyou to some of our amazing customers that will pop into the shop and end up folding fabrics.
And finally a huge thankyou to our wonderful staff for all your hard work and dedication. You are all valued and much appreciated.

Well well well who would have thought what goes on in the little room. Alot of interesting comments posted, there were a couple of guesses that were close but the nail wasn't hit on the head. Here we go......surprise surprise 😮 A big thankyou to Cheryl and her hubby.
