Animal performance is closely tied to the quality and balance of what is happening across the farm.

From soil nutrients through to pasture and trace element support, small gaps can make a difference over time. The right plan helps support stock needs while keeping the bigger picture in mind.

If you’re reviewing your mineral or nutrient programme this winter, your local Livestock Supplies rep can talk you through what you need.

Proud to take delivery of this new Volvo L90H2, supporting increased bulk-out loading capacity at our Gore site. As part of this upgrade, our existing Volvo L90H will continue supporting operations at our site just out of Winton. Both units are equipped with top-of-the-line onboard weighing and premium filtration systems, helping us deliver the highest standard of service. A big thank you to the team at TDX Ltd for their support throughout the process.

❎ MYTH: If it hasn’t caused a problem yet - it’s fine.
✅ FACT: Most issues don’t show up straight away.

A lot of what affects pasture performance builds quietly over time. Nutrient gaps, declining quality, and small imbalances don’t always have an immediate impact, but they chip away in the background.

At a glance, everything can look like it’s ticking along, but under the surface, things might not be working as well as they could be. By the time it becomes obvious, you’re often already trying to catch up.

Get ahead of the game with a quick check in with your local Livestock Supplies rep.

Trace elements can be easy to overlook, but they play a big role in how stock hold condition and perform through the colder months.

A well-balanced mineral lick is a simple way to keep that support in place, especially when pasture quality starts to drop away.

Pro Min Licks are designed to provide a consistent source of essential trace elements for both sheep and cattle, helping fill the gaps when feed alone isn’t enough.

Chat with your local rep about how mineral licks could work on your farm.

What’s happening under the surface - nutrient balance and pasture quality can make a real difference when picked up early.

Small gaps don’t always show straight away, but they have a habit of building over time if they’re left unchecked.

It’s often just a matter of taking the time to walk the paddock, ask the right questions, and understand what’s really going on beneath it.

Take a closer look with your local rep and we can help you pick up what’s not always obvious.

The same product, the same paddock, the same plan can give you very different results depending on when it’s applied.

Too early, and it’s not fully utilised. Too late, and you’re trying to play catch up.

This time of year, timing starts to matter more. Conditions change, growth slows, and windows get tighter. That’s where having a plan makes the difference.
Not just what you’re doing, but when you’re doing it.

Talk to your local Livestock Supplies rep about getting your timing right.

It’s working, even if you can’t see it - a good autumn doesn’t always stand out.

A lot of what sets farms up well for winter happens now, without much noise. It’s not always obvious, but it shows up when it counts.

Not all nitrogen works the same.

Sulphate of Ammonia is a reliable option when you’re looking to support pasture growth while also topping up sulphur levels at the same time.

It’s a straightforward product, but in the right system, it can make a noticeable difference, especially where sulphur is limiting performance.

Why it matters:
• Provides nitrogen + sulphur in one application
• Supports pasture growth where sulphur is limiting
• More efficient nitrogen use when nutrients are balanced
• Well suited to autumn and cooler conditions
• A practical option for maintaining pasture performance

Chat with our team about adding Sulphate of Ammonia (SOA) into your autumn / winter programme.

Growth’s slowing - but that doesn’t mean the work stops.

This time of year isn’t about pushing for more, it’s about holding on to what you’ve already built.

Pasture quality, feed value, and nutrient balance all start to matter more as temperatures drop. Once that slips, it’s hard to claw back through winter. A lot of the gains made through spring and summer can quietly be lost here without the right support underneath.

Make sure things are balanced, topped up, and working as they should before winter really sets in.

As we head deeper into the cooler months, magnesium becomes a key focus. Pasture levels can drop off, and that’s when deficiency risks start to creep in, especially in cattle.

Magnesium-based salt blocks and licks are a simple, effective way to keep levels where they need to be. Options like E2 Salt Block or Promin Lick + Magnesium help support consistent intake when it matters most.

For a more targeted approach, our mineral crumble can be tailored to include magnesium and delivered through your feed system, giving you more control over intake.

What you put in place now helps carry stock through winter and sets you up for a smoother start to spring.

Talk to your local rep about the right option for your system.
