I was coseying up at home today thinking about nice warm cups of tea and cosey blankets and how cute it would be to make pizza coasters for my tea cups.

I have plenty so these will just have to end up in the shop. 🤷‍♀️ ;)

I'm interested in some feedback please.

I've started creating beaded earrings. I adore these pieces as they are soooo vibrant and sparkly, but the time spent on them is significant at avg. 4 - 6 hours per pair. They would then need to cost about $120 to make it worth while.

I am asking for your feedback as to whether or not I should spend time to put them in the shop. I also realise that they're are cheaper versions available on Temu and Shein that people can obviously buy, but these are hand crafted in New Zealand where ethical pricing actually exists.

Therefore, would you pay $120 for these one off items?

Hello my lovelies... whether you have known me for a long time or a short time, you'll realise by now that I am a woman to dance by the beat of my own drum. I like things that are a little unique and generally just "do what I want ;) "

A few months ago I made the hard decision to close the shop because I was overwhelmed. My brain was tired, I couldn't decide what needed 'to give' and I closed the shop. It turns out, I think i just needed to do things a little differently because the reality was, that I loved sharing things with you all and having small pieces of my creation go out into the world with you.

Therefore, (as per the aforementioned comment that "I do what I want ;) " I have reopened the shop and also given it a beautiful new make over.

It no longer includes all the earrings i've ever made because that would have been overwhelming for my poor wee brain. I have added lots of earrings back at reduced prices, I have added a $5 earrings section, and in future, i'm just going to slowly add items one at a time and I won't do big drops. I'll also be starting to include sewn items, vintage items and anything else that i decide to offer up. I'll just add whatever I want, without the modern pressure of thinking i just need to make and make and it all be new and creative and amazing.

I'm sure you understand. Therefore, I would like to invite you to have a look around the new shop. Share the shop with your friends, follow if you don't already and please please let me know what you think, your response to this message, whatever. Information is power.

CLOSING DOWN SALE
After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to close ElysianDesignz.
Over time, I’ve lost the joy of making things for myself, and I need to step away so that creativity can return to being something I do purely for love again.
I will still make things from time to time, and when I do, they’ll be shared in our Facebook group, so please make sure you’re following or click the link below if you’d like to stay connected.
Final sale details
- The final closing down sale runs until 18th January
- Most remaining stock is $10 or less
- A small number of pieces are priced as marked as some are too precious to discount further
- Once items are sold, they will not be restocked

My stock levels are a bit wobbly at the moment. If something you order is no longer available, I may email you to offer a swap or alternative option.
