The Waikato’s premiere modelling event is just around the corner! On 6th June the Hamilton Immortals Miniature Wargaming Club’s painting competition will be held in conjunction with the Waikato Scale Model Club’s modelling competition – here in Hamilton at the Glenview Club.

Based on the past couple of years, I believe this could likely be the largest modelling/miniatures event in New Zealand. If you are in the realm of miniatures and in the North Island, this is a must attend event for you. There is everything from scale model vehicles and realistic dioramas, to fantastic monsters and sci-fi imaginations.

It was a real privilege to have sponsored Over The Top 2026's Middle Earth event in Hamilton this weekend. We were asked to judge the painting, which is always such a challenging task as we all know how much time and love go into these projects. This year, there is a Good vs Evil theme, and participants are required to bring one of each list to ensure Good vs Evil match ups!
