Sunday was a more chill mission up to the Tama Lakes. You have to imagine Ruapehu in the background of lower Tama as it was hiding all day.

Alpine adventures! Amy took the La Sportiva aequilibrium boots out for a very steep test run Saturday. Was mostly a scree scrambling mission due to a severe lack of snow but the crampons came out at the very top. Can report that the boots performed brilliantly!
