Another week of welcoming people into our store.
We are grateful to those who donate and purchase.
Next week it will be September, the beginning of Spring. Here in the Waikato September is slow fashion month. We will have a very cool area on upcycling your jeans, with on ideas on what jeans can become. Hopefully this will inspire some sewing instead of dumping. ✂️🧵🪡

Another week of busily sorting donations and getting them onto the shop floor. We never know what we will get. Our fabulous volunteers sort, price, clean and style donations, so customers are offered a range of good quality things.

This week has been a wet one, and we have loads of ideas for things to do on those gloomy stay indoors days to help you out. We also have some lovely items of furniture in store. Along with clothes, shoes, linen, ornaments, you name it, we might just have it.
So come on in to our lovely warm shop and see what you can find, we would love to see you.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our valued team member and long-serving volunteer Terry Caughley.
Terry passed suddenly but peacefully in his sleep.

For 9 years Terry was a dedicated volunteer at the Stjohn Hamilton Opportunity shop in Frankton. He took quiet pride in the important work of electrical testing and tagging, and more than that, he was the heart of good humour and fun in our small, close-knit group.
His ready smile and easy laughter lifted every shift.

Terry is already deeply missed and will remain so for a long time to come.
Staff and regular customers alike will especially miss the familiar sight of his trusty Wolsley in the car park.

Our thoughts are with Terry's family and friends.

A sample of what is in store. With this cold weather Winter coats, jumpers, scarves and hats are must. We have loads of puzzles and books to make those inside days relaxing.

Last week was knitting and this week is sewing🪡✂️
We have some lovely fabric, patterns, lace and trims.
A couple of ladies had a turn in the knitting chair 🧶
We have some lovely pieces of furniture in store, and of course many other bits and bobs. Plus all our lovely volunteers 👩‍🦳👩‍🦱👵👱‍♀️🧑‍🦳👩‍🦰👴👨🩷✨️

We have a small bridal display in store. Such beautiful gowns that have been worn once or not at all. If you a planning a wedding on a budget, come in and try these on 🩷👰‍♂️🩷👰‍♀️🩷👰🩷
