Calling all music lovers in Hawke’s Bay!
If music has ever been a big part of your life, whether through playing, dancing, collecting records or simply loving a brilliant live gig, this one’s for you.
Love Heart is hosting an intimate Learning Lunch with Scott Towers, known to Fat Freddy’s Drop fans as Chopper Reeds. As the saxophonist for one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most-loved dub and soul bands, Scott has toured the world, performed on global stages and helped shape the group’s unmistakable brass sound.
Join Scott as he shares stories from a life in music, from how it all began and the experience of touring with Fat Freddy’s Drop, to his love of record collecting and what it means to represent Aotearoa on the world stage. He’ll also talk about making the move to Hawke’s Bay and building a more grounded, DIY life here.
This is a rare chance to hear first-hand stories from an active figure in New Zealand’s music scene, over a delicious catered lunch and in great company.
