Rainy day fun! Back to dahlia splitting, labelling, cataloging and storing for spring. Pleased I got them all dug up before the rain. One of my standout for flowers/long stems/reasonably good tuber production was Temple of beauty (as pictured) looking forward to lots more lovely dahlias in their new beds!

At this time of year, planning, planting cool-season flowers, and pruning are crucial to achieving a spectacular display in the spring and summer. A December bride-to-be has chosen sunflowers and amaranthus as her focal flowers, and I have prepared the glasshouse by cutting down a green mustard crop. By creating a warm environment for these heat-loving flowers and implementing succession planting, I aim to time a gorgeous floral arrangement for her special day! 👰‍♂️
