We're still flying high on the warm fuzzies from working together on Into The Deep, our KaraWearable '26 event...
It's great to see folks appreciating a couple of the winning designs which are still on display in the window of the old Drapery opposite Karamea 4 Square.

We have some news...
We've decided to take a break from KaraWearable for a year, to leave the door open for some other creative happenings which have yet to emerge from the fertile corners of our wee community!

Those in the school community will be busy with 2 major events in '27: hosting TOSI in term 1 and Production in term 3.

Frett not, KaraWearable '28 will be back on King's Birthday weekend, and we can reveal the theme will be 'TIME MACHINE' which we hope is open enough to inspire you to head off in any direction and make something truly out there. This means that there's plenty of time to take a break, tinker away in the background on wearable art, and also have space for other creative endeavours.

On that note, our next Pop Up Gallery 'From Karamea with Love' will be on 5,6 December at the Old Drapery again. As is now tradition, we're encouraging people to shop local for gifts, and for artists and crafters to make affordable and postable creations. Keep an eye out for applications to exhibit at the Pop Up Gallery opening in late October.

We'd also like to highlight few free art workshops coming up soon in Karamea:
Printastic on 15 August and Watercolour on 5,6 Sept
There is more info on the community website here: https://karamea.nz/web/article/watercolour_painting_workshops

Keep warm and keep creating.

Love from the Pop Up Team 🧶

"Into the DEEP"
May 31st Sunday, we had 80 visitors at this exhibition. Wearable arts from "Youth" were very remarkable and incredible craftsmanship🤩🥰😍🥳😆

They did wonderful catwalk on Saturday at the show! Behind it, they had one chance to practice (3minutes each) for the catwalk at our dress rehearsal on Friday.

We know it's not easy to "walk" on the stage but they did so good at the show!!!

To all youth designers and models, thank you for being a part of KaraWearable. You guys are awesome superstars⭐️⭐️⭐️
