Katipatch was opened in 2006 as a specialist patchwork and quilting
boutique to offer an unparalleled service to patchworkers and quilters in
Katikati and New Zealand. The shop is located on an avocado orchard
and is surrounded by a beautiful garden where you can wander at your
leisure. If we don't have what you want, we are happy to search the
world for you. Carol Biesiek, the owner, has been

a patchworker and quilter for
over 20 years after attending classes at a craft shop when she lived in
Sydney. Once hooked, she avidly attended many other workshops to
learn as much as she could, and has made dozens of quilts, bags and
other items. Machine work is her personal interest, but she is
extremely knowledgeable about most areas of the craft.

Spent this morning between customers unpacking last week's orders. Included was the Flora & Form canvas preprinted carryall panel. This one also has all the instructions and includes a 1/2" seam allowance.
The cotton canvas fabric is light enough to stitch on to add your own personal touch.

New in store, Wool Wise Wool Pressing Mat and Ironing Board Mat.

The Wool Pressing Mat is 43cm x 43cm, the Ironing Board Mat is 135cm x 43cm.

The Ironing Board mat can be cut to size with sharp scissors. Just trace the outline of your board with a temporary marker and trim.

What I like about the Wool Wise brand is they support NZ farmers and businesses.

Why do we use wool - wool holds heats so you are pressing from both sides. Wool is naturally thick and is scorch resistant. Fabric does not slip on wool.
