Katipatch was opened in 2006 as a specialist patchwork and quilting
boutique to offer an unparalleled service to patchworkers and quilters in
Katikati and New Zealand. The shop is located on an avocado orchard
and is surrounded by a beautiful garden where you can wander at your
leisure. If we don't have what you want, we are happy to search the
world for you. Carol Biesiek, the owner, has been

a patchworker and quilter for
over 20 years after attending classes at a craft shop when she lived in
Sydney. Once hooked, she avidly attended many other workshops to
learn as much as she could, and has made dozens of quilts, bags and
other items. Machine work is her personal interest, but she is
extremely knowledgeable about most areas of the craft.

Special job on the machine today, miss 14 made PJ pants and the only elastic I’ve got is 6mm so needing my straight lines eye today to sew 3 channels to put elastic through.

We have a selection of various craft books in store for a limited time. These Granny Square card decks are part of them. Each pack has 50 designs to mix and match. Includes booklet.

What amazing weather we had over the weekend. I went to visit family and had a couple of hours to fill in so walked up to Bald Spur in Te Aroha. While I increased my fitness with the postie run, it didn’t help with the uphill getting up to Bald Spur. Once there it is an amazing view over Te Aroha and the Waikato.
The shop is open tomorrow from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Spent time today getting stock ready for Craft and Create Show on this Friday and Saturday. Come and see us and the 20 other exhibitors including Aroha Quilts, Cottage Flair, Stitch Makers, Bowerbird, Zippy Laser Designs and so many more.

The shop will be closed on Saturday as we will be at the show.

We had a good day in the shop yesterday, thanks to all that called in. Open again next Tuesday (closed Thursday and Friday).
