Five years. Where did that go?

Peter joined AEW with a strong foundation in electrical knowledge. We then asked him to specialise in lighting, and he quickly made the role his own.

Before long, Peter became our lighting expert. The person with the answers. The one everyone turned to when a project needed a little more thought than the basics.

Thank you for an outstanding five years, Peter. Your knowledge, enthusiasm and willingness to help have made a real difference to our team and customers.

We are looking forward to seeing you bring that expertise to the Upper Hutt team. Here’s to many more years with AEW

HAPPY 10 YEAR ADVANCE-VERSARY MARGARET 🎉

A full decade with Margaret, which still makes her 'newish" by our standards.
Before she was ours, she was Thorn Lighting's problem. We saw talent, we made an offer, and frankly, we're not sorry. Their loss lit our way (see what we did there).
In Projects, Margaret is one of the people you actually want handling you job. Thorough. Diligent. Doesn't miss a beat, doesn't miss a deadline, doesn't miss a detail. The trade loves her — and trust us, the trade does not hand out love easily.
Outside work she's a proud grandmother of one, and if the rumours are true, has had roughly eight husbands, every single one starting with R. Statistically alarming.
Ten years, Margaret. Here's to ten more of keeping projects on track.
Congratulations!

Back in May, we hosted a Mini Trade Show at our Horowhenua branch, bringing customers, supplier and the sparky's together for an afternoon of great products, useful conversations and plenty of learning.

With 21 suppliers on site, there were loads of new products to explore, exciting prizes to win, food and drinks to enjoy, and plenty of friendly banter along the way.

It was also a chance to celebrate one year since our Horowhenua branch opened.

Thanks to everyone who came along and to all the suppliers who helped make the afternoon such a success.

We are celebrating 25 years of Rangi Nukunuku at Advance Electrical Wholesalers.

Twenty five years is more than a milestone. It is 25 years of showing up, day after day, bringing knowledge, commitment and high standards to the people around you.

Rangi started with Advance after gaining experience at Master Trade. Today, as our Purchasing Manager, he plays an important role in making sure the products we stock meet the right standards and specifications for our customers.

Rangi is known for his knowledge, attention to detail and straightforward approach. He is also known for his immaculate lawn, his bird aviary and the time he invited the team to a party that turned out to be his wedding.

Thanks Rangi, for 25 years of hard work, commitment and expertise. Congratulations on your Advance-aversary.

A slice of history to mark 40 years of Advance.

A huge thank you to Firstflex for this incredible resin cable slice award. It’s a unique reminder of the industry, relationships and people who have been part of our journey over the past four decades.

We’re proud of where we’ve come from — and excited for what’s ahead.
