Orange Balm, a perennial culinary herb with a light mandarin fragrance. It is a mint like herb, similar to Lemon Balm.

Great for making tea, drying, fragrant gardens, sensory gardens.

Grows to 30cm with a mounding habit.

Melissa officinalis 'Mandarine'

$5 each or 2 for $8. Sold in biodegradeable bag.

Grow to approx 60 cm tall x 60 cm wide. Attractive, great succulent plant for dry spaces.

TIP: If you want them to look darker, water them less. If you want them to go lighter, water them more - they will turn greener.

CAPE GOOSEBERRY PLANTS - $5 each

An old-fashioned favourite, originally from Peru. The plant has a bushy habit and grows to approx. 1 metre tall. The small cherry-tomato-like fruit grows in a paper husk/case and is ready for picking once the outer shell turns golden-brown. The fruit is sweet tasting.

Best grown in a sunny spot, with moist but well-draining soil. Dig in some compost when planting and protect from frosts.

Uses:
* Great as a foraging plant
* Can be planted in the garden but does equally well in pots
* A wonderful plant for children's gardens
* A lovely addition for Jam-Makers :-)

Pickup is from Kelson, Lower Hutt

(AWARD WINNING) RHUBARB Crown divisions available $6 each! Not that I like to brag, but I recently took out first place in the Rhubarb section at the Hutt Valley Horticultural Society Spring Show. I now have divisions available for sale from the original clump, just $6 each. Limited number available so be in quick! I'll even throw in a copy of my Mother's Rhubarb Cake recipe... ;-)

Raspberry canes - 3 for $10

A necessity for the Christmas pav! Easy to grow. They are supplied bare-rooted, ready to go straight into the ground.

• Plant them in well-drained soil, in a sunny, sheltered spot.
• Mix in some compost before planting.
• Space 50cm apart.
• Provide support (I use wooden stakes and run a couple of pieces of wire between them).
• Once the fruit starts to ripen, protect from birds!

Beware - once established, they will try to take over the world... (in fact, they grow so fast my partner says they should be named ‘Hurry-canes’... but enough of the ‘Dad ‘humour!) ;-) Limited stocks available so be in quick. PM me if interested.
