🚧 Temporary Traffic & Bus Stop Changes – Beach Road, Mairangi Bay

If you’re planning to visit Mairangi Bay Village on Friday 14 August, please be aware of temporary traffic and public transport changes while a streetlight pole is replaced on Beach Road.

📍 Location: Beach Road (southbound), between Montrose Terrace and Sidmouth Street
🕙 Time: 10:00am – 3:00pm

🚌 Bus services affected: Routes 83 and 856

Bus Stop 3139 – Mairangi Bay Shops will be temporarily closed during the works.

➡️ Temporary replacement stop: Outside 4 Montrose Terrace

Traffic management and bus detours will be in place during this time. If you’re catching a bus or visiting the village, please allow a little extra time for your journey.

Thank you for your patience while these essential maintenance works are carried out.

For more than a decade, Hiroba Sushi has been serving the Mairangi Bay community with fresh sushi, warming udon, delicious poke bowls and friendly smiles.

Behind the counter is David, supported by his mum Clara and, whenever she gets the chance between looking after their new baby, his wife Elizabeth. Like so many businesses in our Village, Hiroba Sushi is a genuine family-run business, built on hard work, long days and a real commitment to the local community.

Thank you to the 50 children who entered our Bear Hunt in the school holidays. Congratulations to Sid, Maggie, Connor and Kenzo who each received a very large Toblerone and to the winners of Calimero pizza vouchers, Charlotte, Mimi, Lucia, Karah, Anthea, Bodhi, Cece, Millen, Hugo, Carla, Jayden, Sam, Tilly, Max, Sophie, Alana, Rian, Emma, Hayden and Ben.

And thanks to all of the parents and grandparents who led them around the Village hunting for bears. It was great fun!
