Two months growing time in the garden.

Daylight savings is less than 8 weeks away! The most magical time on the flower farm, with long sunshine hours and armloads of blooms!

Looking forward to the warmth after these crisp mornings we have been having. I’ve started a few trays of seeds in the tunnel house last week and already having great success with germination.

I am hopeful this will be our best flower season yet 🔥

Feeding the plants today in this beautiful sunshine. Absolutely stunning day out here on the farm.

The plants are taking off, noticing a huge amount of growth from the last weeks spray rounds! So excited for these to start producing flowers and see my dedication pay back in blooms 🤍

Winter has been quiet on the garden front with all our time being poured into the dairy farm! The weather has been so great for us 🔥

Managed to take a couple hours away from the cows today and w**d a few of the gardens. They were looking very neglected. Always a hit when I can get the instant satisfaction from a w**ding!

The ranunculus are looking lovely and lush and the tulips are starting to show their faces! Won’t be long and we will be back to supply our locals again 🤍

Everyone loves a pop of blue in their bouquet 🤍

Delphiniums are coming! The last batch I did I put them in a moist paper towel in the fridge and waited for them to sprout before tucking them into the dirt. I didn’t have the greatest germination rate from that and my flower farming friend suggested just chucking them into the freezer for a couple weeks.

Sloooooow germination time! But so exciting to have a few in the garden for this season.

Slugs favourite snack too!

10 days in between pics. Crazy growth from the ranunculus!

Gave all the seedlings a good spray today with some seaw**d, fungicide and oil to help it stick!

Ticked off a few tidying jobs around the garden this week, been doing anything to avoid any w**ding. Maybe next week!

This weather has been so great for getting outside and getting my hands in the dirt, hope you guys have too 🤍

In May 2020 we moved into our home on the family farm. We are privileged to live in the house that Kylie’s Grandparents built over 60 years ago.

The gardens and tennis court had been neglected from previous tenants and needed a lot of time put in to clean it up.

We are so proud to look back and be reminded of how much we have put into this place 🤍

When we took these pictures we had no idea we would be growing flowers here instead we thought we would repair the tennis court and learn how to play!

I find having an obsession with my garden projects is highly motivating for me to complete them as soon as humanly possible.

I have spent many hours and days working on getting these gardens finished and am feeling so stoked to finally having them at their full potential.

So excited to see all the armloads of flowers these beds are going to give! Do not ask how my back is going 😅

The tulips are tucked in for the Winter.
Been a busy week on the flower front catching up on the to do list. It’s been so great to have my hands back in the dirt 🔥
