The Onesie Bear NZ

The Onesie Bear NZ We make specially crafted Keepsake Bears and Memory Items from your most cherished clothing. We do not stick to just onesies.

Head to our website www.theonesiebearnz.com to see our range, information and pricing. Here at The Onesie Bear NZ I turn your most cherished clothing into Keepsake Onesie Friends.

*They can be made from 1+ onesies depending on what design you would like and how big the items of clothing are. I can use any items of baby, children and adult clothing. The only clothing I can not work with is hand k

nitted items.

*Printed Transfers can be added to your new friend to customise it even more. Pricing for these can be found on our website www.theonesiebearnz.com.

*I offer either an upfront full payment or half and half payment options. The half and half payment option means you pay the first half of the full amount and the second half at a later date. This first payment is non-refundable as I have had problems with people not paying in the past. When you have paid the second half I will then make your Onesie Friend when it is your turn. I can also do Layby for people who really need it. You will make it onto the waiting list once half of the full amount has been paid and I will start to make your Onesie Friend after the full amount has been paid.*If you want to do layby it needs to be paid in full within 4 weeks*

If you would like to have a Onesie Friend made please PM me to discuss details. Many thanks from Aleisha at The Onesie Bear NZ!

Man almighty, is it freezing today! πŸ₯Ά We had a hailstorm that made it look like it had been snowing. If only it had been the real thing so we could have gone out to play and made the cold worthwhile!

Tonight I'm back with the reveal of our least sneak peek.

This collection of keepsakes was created entirely from the fabric of 16 ties. It was a first for me creating keepsakes using only ties, and I had the pleasure of turning them into not one, but four Small Signature Bears, along with four matching keepsake keyrings.

Each bear has its own unique combination of colours, patterns and personality, bringing together pieces from as many ties as possible to create something truly special, while holding so many treasured memories.

These little bears were quite the puzzle! Working out the fabric placement to make the most of each tie definitely kept me thinking, but I love how the mix of colours and patterns came together across the collection.

One of the ties even had the perfect plain lining fabric tucked inside. There was just enough to use on each bear's face, creating a beautiful contrast that really lets all the colourful tie patterns shine.

I absolutely loved the challenge of this one, and I think these four little bears turned out beautifully special.

Today's project is officially underway!

One of my favourite little details is using handwriting.

This beautiful piece of handwriting has now been digitised and is ready to become part of a very special keepsake. I can't wait to show you the finished result!

It isn't often that I share much of my personal life on my business page, but this memory popped up today and I just had to share it.

As some of you may know, the reason I started creating keepsakes 11 years ago was because both of my children were born as extremely premature babies. I wanted a way to preserve the tiny outfits and special items that held so many memories from our NICU journey.

During our first six month stay with our daughter in NICU, around four months into being in the unit, we were incredibly lucky to have a photographer from Charlie Horse Photography generously donate their time to photograph families staying at Ronald McDonald House. Those photos, taken 13 years ago, are treasures I will always cherish.

Even more special was that when our son was later in NICU, we were fortunate enough to have the very same photographer return. It was such a full-circle moment to have photos taken of tiny Blake, alongside a slightly bigger Allie-May.

Looking back, I am reminded just how much kindness surrounded us during some of the hardest days of our lives. From Charlie Horse Photography, Ronald McDonald House, Little Miracles Trust, the incredible NICU staff, and the many volunteers who gave their time so selflessly, every act of support made a difference. The friendships we formed with other NICU families and the compassion we received helped carry us through.

These experiences are the reason I always try to give back whenever I can. Whether it's supporting Little Miracles Trust, creating keepsakes for NICU families, or simply helping preserve precious memories, it's my way of saying thank you to the people and organisations that helped shape our journey.

Sometimes, all it takes is one act of kindness to leave a lasting impact. πŸ’œ

Happy Saturday everyone!

Can you believe we're already into another month? Where has this year disappeared to?!

I'm back tonight with the next sneak peek in our reveal lineup. This order was a little different from anything I've created before. Instead of using a mix of special items, each keepsake was made using just one type of clothing accessory... but there were plenty of them! Together, they became a gorgeous set of keepsakes.

Now it's over to you...

What do you think these keepsakes were created from?

30/07/2026

I love putting these little videos together! πŸ₯°

It's a chance to look back over the journey from a pile of treasured clothing to a collection of keepsakes.

What makes it even more special is being able to share it with you all.

Goodness me, today has certainly thrown every season at us! 🌧️🌞🌨️ From pouring rain to sunshine, then hail, and back to heavy rain again. I'm definitely happy to be tucked up inside in the warm for the evening.

Tonight I'm back with our latest reveal!

This beautiful little clan of keepsakes was created from a lovely mix of T-shirts and pants, with each piece made for a different family member to treasure for years to come.

One special request really touched my heart. I was asked if the keepsake cat could hold a very special bracelet inside. Instead of simply placing the bracelet inside the cat, I made a little heart for it to be tucked into before it was sewn inside. It was the perfect way to keep such a special item safe and forever part of the of the keepsake.

This order was such a wonderfully diverse collection. Watching each piece come together was incredibly rewarding. Every keepsake has its own unique personality and tells its own story, making this collection one to remember.

I hope everyone is keeping warm and safe out there with some of the wild weather around.

I'm back with our next sneak peek in the reveal line-up! This is an order I really enjoyed creating. It has the most variety I've had in a single order for quite some time, with almost every keepsake item being something different.

There are also a few familiar faces making a return to the workspace that I haven't created in quite a while, so I'm really excited to share the full collection with you all. Keep an eye out, as you won't want to miss this reveal!

I'm back for today's reveal!

Meet Gustas Bear, created as an XL Keep Me Keepsake Bear.

This special bear has been lovingly made from a beautiful mix of baby clothing, along with the swaddle Gustas was wrapped in on his very first night at home.

These treasured pieces have been transformed into a new life as a beautiful weighted keepsake, weighing 4,210 grams, matching his birth weight using our special weighting medium.

It is always such a privilege to create weighted keepsakes. There is something incredibly special about holding them, as they can bring back the precious feeling of holding your baby all over again.

Just like that, the kiddos are back at school... what does that mean? πŸŽ‰

It's time to party in the workroom while creating more toys! πŸ˜„

All jokes aside, tonight I have a beautiful little sneak peek at the next keepsake creation in our reveal line-up.

This one was such a lovely make. The combination of colours, patterns, and fabrics came together perfectly to create one very gorgeous little friend. I can't wait to share the full reveal with you all soon!
