Actual Factual (Freakin wind..) Friday 😀

We hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend

It's been a fun week getting our new seasons clothes out, the colours, the fabrics.. 🧡

Some highlights

🙃 Our new changing room curtains made by one of our talented volunteers using denim jeans
(yes, we know they might be a bit short yet)

🙃 Kerrys bird baths made from glassware that was chipped or cracked and not saleable in the store

🙃 Ant and I spent yesterday at a first aid course which was very informative, and interesting how certain things have changed

🙃 Volunteer home baking is always appreciated - 'to butter or not to butter' is a hot topic between some of the team when it comes to scones..

🙃 There is still a good variety Winter clothing avaliable at $4 so still worth checking it out

🙃 The awful Winter illnesses aren't finished with us yet, and it's always sad when we have valued members of our volunteer team unwell 😔

🙃 Just a reminder that we are fortunate to have Wellington Free Ambulance as our neighbours and it's really important that we don't block their entrance when parking please.

We love the change of seasons because it means we get to bring out the gorgeous, colorful clothes.

Hey hey hey.. its Actual Factual Friday 👋

Loving these warmer days

The week that was

👐 The main event instore was the Winter clothing and shoe sale. Final weekend and there is new stock still going out

👐 Our new truck has meant that we can pick up and deliver more quality goods - in particular furniture which is great for you guys

👐 The team have been working super hard to get Summer clothing ready to roll out next week and Wow.. There are some gorgeous things to look forward to

👐 Sally's lemons were popular and a nice little fundraiser

👐 It's been a dreadful time for our volunteers who have been caught out by this flu, so it's great to see them returning to work well again

👐 You might have heard the cowbell on our donations door, this way we can hear you coming and be able to help you - and thank you!

Oh and my 'wedding dress skirt' has finished being altered so I'll be (bravely) debuting that tomorrow 😬

Hospice Shop Friends, we really appreciate you helping to keep our carpark for shop customers - especially with some of them being elderly or mobility challenged.
Hospice Shop Friends, please be great humans and let your people know, if they are attending rugby games accross the road 🙃

There are a few exciting things to come soon which will further improve your shopping experience so I'll keep you in the loop with that

ACTUAL FACTUAL (it's still light outside 😎😁) FRIDAY

There's something about the end of Winter that puts most people in a better mood 🧡

The week that was..

Our spontaneous water feature was a novelty on Sunday morning, but swiftly repaired.

It was adorable seeing a couple of young girls buying veils from our wedding space to play dress ups with 🧡
Also delightful were the young ladies allowed to buy a special dress each from the adult formal wear rack 💙

Funny story for you 😜
We have a saying amongst our team 'don't leave it there or I'll put a price on it and sell it'
Personal items of clothing have been previously sold because they have been left lying around out the back. I am not very diligent about making sure I put my things away properly (you see where I'm going with this..)
😅 Yip... I got caught out, that will serve me right for being lazy.

Grace and Amelia kept themselves amused last Sunday (funday) by singing behind the counter...🙄😅

This week was the start of our Winter Sale so it's been a busy time for our team making sure there is plenty of stock on the shop floor.
Its been really satisfying having families come in and be able to buy extra clothing and shoes for everyone at super affordable prices 😍

It's Autual Factual Friday 😀

One Friday closer to daylight savings

Annette from the Jewllery corner has put together a lovely Oriental inspired display 🧡

Our generous hunting book donar has made sure there are plenty more, and they are proving very popular.

I locked eyes with the chocolate biscuit stash today.. I thought it was the first aid kit... I guess it is in a way 😅

Our tool department is gaining momentum, with customers commenting on the quality of the 'old school' tools

There are still some limes for sale up at the counter

The Children's knitwear lovingly made by our volunteers is almost sold out.. once it's gone, it's gone until next Winter, so...

Our glass cabinet by the Jewllery counter is a great way to showcase some more valuable / interesting items
