Step into a sacred space of stillness, presence, and intention.

This new moon evening will start with cacao, as a heart opening gift from Mother Nature.
The unique properties of Uturunku cacao will help us arrive and land fully, bringing all our senses into presence, connecting with our Self, our heart and the divine wisdom within us.

From this place of awareness, we’ll explore free writing to find clarity and reveal insights, desires, and truths ready to be seen.

To close, you’ll be guided through a creative drawing practice, to help process and integrate what has come through. This meditative journey will help us to create new neural pathways and support the manifestation of our intentions.

The new moon is the perfect time to pause, a natural moment to tune in to your heart, reflect, and plant seeds for what you wish to invite into your life.

Here at Hub Matakana we use Kōkako’s Mahana Blend for our coffee.

Kōkako is New Zealand’s first organic coffee roaster, certified organic and Fairtrade, with every bean traceable back to the growers who tend it. Sourced through Fairtrade cooperatives and roasted with real care, it’s coffee grown well and traded fairly.

The Mahana Blend is a full-bodied, chocolatey medium roast with notes of caramel and spice. Fittingly, Mahana means warmth in Te Reo Māori, fitting to describe the atmosphere we aim to cultivate here in our cozy little space.

We serve our drinks in hand made ceramic cups, by local’s Carly and Theo Leach of Leach Studio Ceramics, which we think makes your daily coffee ritual an experience worth stopping and slowing down for.

A big THANK YOU! to all of you who came to the Hub today to welcome us back. 🥰🙏

And thank you Dawn for bringing your music and beautiful Imbolc festivities to Hub Matakana.

Imbolc is an ancient Celtic fire festival which marks the traditional beginning of spring. Positioned directly between the winter solstice and the spring equinox, it represents a time of purification, hope, and the very first stirrings of new life after the dark winter months. ☀️

Hub Matakana is now closed for a winter break.

To all our customers and loyal supporters, everyone who has walked through our doors, ordered a coffee or cacao, or purchased a book, thank you for choosing the hub. We appreciate each and every one of you! Thank you for the heartfelt feedback and encouragement over the years, and for the energy you bring - it’s what has kept us going.
A special thank you to everyone who came on Saturday to wish us a good holiday.

We’ll open our doors again on Saturday the 1st of August, well rested and recharged to delight your tastebuds with all your favourite concoctions, be it cacao, coffee, matcha or chai - and we’re already looking forward to seeing you all again!
