🐴 Saddle Maintenance — Because Fit Matters
Customers send their saddles to our two saddlers for reflocking, girth strap replacement, safety checks and any other repairs that may be required.
Every saddle that comes into the workshop is thoroughly inspected to help ensure the safety and comfort of both horse and rider are maintained.
As every horse’s requirements are unique, so too is a saddle’s flocking. Before we begin, our saddlers are provided with detailed instructions on the required base flocking to achieve the best possible fit for the individual horse.
It is essential that the base flocking is free from lumps, hollows and unevenness, and that it follows the contours of the horse’s back. Any inconsistencies can create pressure points, affect the balance of the saddle and ultimately compromise the horse’s comfort.
A well-maintained saddle isn't just about extending the life of your equipment — it is an important part of your horse’s comfort, performance and wellbeing.
If you’re unsure whether your saddle is due for some attention, bring it in and we can have a chat about what may be required. We’re always happy to help.
With two Saddlers on site, we’re able to offer experienced, hands-on care for your saddle, from routine maintenance through to more involved repairs.
Look after your saddle, and it will look after you and your horse. 🤎
