We offer local photo services with printing, canvas, portraits, photo restoration, and just about any other photo product you desire. You will find we have a great picture framing area and most are made on-site with the biggest variety in town. The other side of our business includes unique gifts, a selection of locally created art, and other kiwi artist art in our art studio. The latest addition to our offering is reclaimed clothing sold on behalf of our customers very popular with out of town people as well. We look forward to your visit sometime soon, we love what we do and have great delight helping you create perfect bits and pieces for your home.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we’ve received a HUGE amount of beautiful pre-loved clothing recently.

To give us time to work through our current backlog and get everything processed, priced and out on the racks, we’re taking a temporary pause on accepting clothing.

⚡️ FRAME OF THE MONTH ⚡️
An AC/DC piece with one very cool story behind it… 🥁🎸

Every now and then, something comes through our doors that gets us *really* excited — and this was definitely one of those jobs!

A dad and his son came into Kodak & Black carrying a drum cover they wanted framed. Pretty cool already… until I discovered it had been signed by AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd, who happens to be a friend of the father.

Cue my little AC/DC fangirl moment. 😂🤘

The drum cover had been signed for his son's 15th birthday, and they also had photographs from the day — which immediately got my creative brain going.

Rather than simply putting the drum cover into a shadow box, I wanted the finished piece to tell the whole story behind that memory.

My mind started racing with ideas, and from there the design began to come together — the signed drum cover as the hero of the piece, photographs from the day positioned around it, an image of the band, the iconic AC/DC logo, and a personalised Happy Birthday message to tie it all together.

And being an AC/DC fan myself, there was really only one colour combination I could see for it…

🖤 BLACK

We carried those iconic colours through the matting and design and brought everything together inside a custom shadow box frame.

And the end result… we absolutely LOVE. 🤘⚡️

But what makes this piece so special isn't just how cool it looks.

It started with a dad, his son, a 15th birthday and a pretty incredible experience — and it's now become something he can hang on his wall and cherish for the rest of his life.

This is what we love about custom framing.❤️

It's not always just about putting something in a frame. Sometimes it's about taking all the little pieces of a memory and finding a way to tell the whole story.

This one was an absolute privilege — and a LOT of fun — to create.
