I wasn't up for doing much of the twinset cardigan yesterday so I started looking into the 1932 Australian bathing suit pattern I've had my eye on for a few years.
It's challenging in that there's no tension suggestions for the pattern or the wool that was used to originally knit it. I could not find the shades of the Patons Crocus except for a green but even if they weren't as bright as what I am using, it must have been a "stand out from the crowd" cossie in it's day.
While the only picture is hard to see, there are zigzags and other shapes around the bustline. My only concern is whether it's going to fit me. One has been supporting Whittaker's over Winter and it shows.
The stunning pattern is from the Adelaide Advertiser newspaper via Trove - a fabulous resource for free vintage knitting patterns.
