Thought I would share our fire wood system that we have used for few years now. Note the custom table that stores the fire utensils, including the metal dust pan made by my daughter at school and the $2 op shop paint brush which makes an excellent sweeper. The table is light weight and can be taken outside to refill with split sticks.
The box on top is sized exactly to fit the boxes of fire lighters that we use and the drawer under the fire houses the kindling to start the fire and the split sticks get the fire going quickly and hot enough to to burn the larger pieces which last longer.
