The mini-boss wrote this caption for our sunflower pic on our website and it's so adorable I just had to share it 😍

'We have flowers and we grow our flowers together and we pick them together and we sometimes even bring them out to the stand together. We also have a flower stand and we have it together.'

I mean... Is that just the cutest caption ever 😍 She's been very enthusiastic about helping while I've been redesigning our website, the typing has been slowwwww 🤭 but it's been quite fun!

🧐 Who likes proof reading? The new website is now live with dried flower arrangements ready to go.... If you find any typos be sure to let me know! I'd love some feedback on layout and design, my strength is growing the flowers not clicking on computers haha.

🧑‍💻 I'm pretty happy with it though, I've listened to you all and what would make ordering easier for you, so I now have a calendar for selecting your delivery/pickup date and an easy space for adding your note for the card ☺️ As well as some fun behind the scenes stuff. (If you add in your email I'll be starting up a newsletter over the next season so be sure to join the club!)

A mix of fragrant fresh bouquets and everlasting/dried arrangements in the stand today 💐

You guys are always asking me if people steal my flowers from out front, and no they generally don't steal flowers... but someone stole my tripod! 🤦🏼‍♀️

🤔 I took a break from harvesting and took my phone inside for lunch, leaving the tripod in place to finish later. When I came back it was gone! But joke's on them, it was broken and very annoying to use 🤭

👉 Can I still be mad? Or should I just be glad they took the tripod and not the flowers? 😂

Scare-fairies doesn't make sense though does it 😂 Fairy shaped scarecrows!

I thought over time the Ranunculus would root in and the blackbirds would settle down but they are getting worse and just ripping out huge plants now so this is my first attempt at the most low effort and low budget fix with things I had around the house.

🐦‍⬛ Once I'd set them up I was replanting the seedlings and a blackbird flew down and practically landed on my head so that felt a little discouraging 😂 but it's been 24hrs and no digging! It might be working?!?!!!

I think they turned out kinda adorable 🤭 Although one of you did say they seemed creepy haha what do we think... Cute or creepy?

Let's talk Snapdragons...

Snapdragons come in 4 types and each type flowers under different conditions so it takes a little planning to have blooms all season long. I have 200 of these seedlings out next to the farmstand at the moment growing away happily and they are type 1 so you should see them flower in mid Spring. Then we have 400 to go in next month that'll flower over Christmas and more to plant In November and so on... Let's see if I've nailed the planning, I'm excited to see if it pays off ☺️

I think just looking at them you probably don't need any convincing but these stunners really are a must-have for me in bouquets. The gorgeous vibrant spikes last forever and bring life and movement as they reach and grow at home in your vase. Some varieties are even scented!

🌟 Mānawatia a Matariki! 🌟 Happy Matariki, the Maori New Year! I hope you are spending time with those you love, taking a little time reflecting and looking ahead ✨

We had a lovely evening at the Matariki event watching the Kapahaka and Pacifica performances and eating yummy food from all around the world. What a beautiful holiday, I feel really fortunate to share in the experience.

The mini-boss taught me this Matariki song last week, hopefully we got it right! So we finished the night singing to the stars before she went off to sleep.

Tornados in Nelson?! I thought that was the main concern until I wedged myself between the stand and the fence... I was thinking crap, now I'm gonna need a Tornado to get this thing off me 😂 I can't have my obituary read 'crushed by her flower stand in her dressing gown!'

(Also get this, when I took the sandbags off the legs of the flower stand guess what was inside... Cash! It had been there so long it had spiderwebs on it 😱 Why would someone put cash in there 🤦🏼‍♀️)

Did you see the tornado? Lose any tree limbs from the winds?
