𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢: 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗘+ 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗥 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠

After unboxing the Still Spirits Create+ modular components in our last video, here we put it through its paces, running a batch of feints to see how it performs.

This build combines the sight glass, an Alembic tube (or T500 Pro tube if you prefer), a Still Spirits bubble plate, and the sh***un condenser, all connected using tri-clamps and push fittings for quick and easy setup.

We run through the full build, from the vapour path elbow with its adjustable bulkhead probe fitting, through to the product condenser and vented collection cup, a nice safety feature that vents steam if the still ever overheats or a condenser gets knocked. We're also running the Still Spirits voltage controller, which makes dialling in a smooth, non-flooded bubble on the plate far easier than the old fixed setups.

𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗚𝗟𝗔𝗗𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗟𝗗 𝗖𝗥𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗧

Crystal Wheat is a challenging malt to make in the roaster. The wheat grain has no husk so as you saccharify the grain in the roaster the risk of sticking to the roaster drum is high. Gladfield Malt carefully play with temperatures on the roaster to allow almost 100% saccharification without compromising the flavours and most importantly the roaster!

Crystal Wheat is a versatile malt that you can use on many different styles of b**rs.

Use: Adds low caramel sweetness, flavour, and body.

Rate: Up to 25% but as with all Wheat consider adding a few oat hulls as the ratio increases to assist lautering efficiency.
