The business begun in 2002 by Pru and Roly Broughton. Pru did not wish to have a huge nursery where she would be trucking seedlings around the country, so decided to franchise the brand. In 2019, Pru decided to retire and we (Bridgit and Steve Gibellini) who have owned the Weathersfield Nelson/Marlborough franchise since 2010 now own the parent company. We are enthusiastic for people to embody organics, homegrown produce and wished to continue Pru’s business philosophy of local growers servicing local markets. We grow and sell Biogro Certified Organic herb and vegetable seedlings. Also, in select areas we have Weathersfield Certified Organic Potting Mix and Compost available in 20L bags and bulk. We now have franchises in Canterbury, Nelson, Gisborne, and West Auckland
