My job here is done.

After Nationals Bevan and I gave all of our stock to FMS.
Thruth be told I was doing a s**t job of it 😂
After I sold RCParts I wanted to hold on to Mayako until we could get a distribution that would be stable and consistent. With Dylan on YMP and FMS keen it was a total no brainer. Thanks to everyone who has had one of the cars over the last few years.

For me this finishes up nearly 10 years of RC retailing RC parts. Thanks to those that I’ve dealt with over the last years.

Always buy from and support local importers and distributors, they are what keep the tracks full and events worth going to. Amain don’t give a s**t.

Ol mate cranked up the RC sosh med today serving up a little bit of truth as he sees it, in a way JQ does very well.

I’m seeing this happen a lot. The easy option is just too available now. Back in the day, you didn’t have endless ways to bail or swap teams—you had to grind it out. Now people can tap out, jump onto a similar deal, and soak up the social-media dopamine from their new crew liking their “new chapter” post.

I know JQs intentions are always good. We all know his delivery can be crisp and refreshing to put it politely. Sometimes the hardest things to hear are what drives the most positive change.

Capital Model Racers - CLUB PAGE Merci beaucoup! Très bien. A nationals that had it all. I moaned like a little kitten about the jump section. Bevan Burnley Triple Duece VIP hired a digger and fixed it to shut me up.

It rained, we got to talk s**t for more hours. Result

The track didn’t blow out - how? It was golden

The club organisers kept the schedule on track - Neil Keegan and Kyle - Your chaps work leading up does not fall deaf on our ears. It’s a delight to see. Then the director and timing team. Nailed it. Great stuff

Team Full Maggo self judged ourselves as 1st place in the after match for practice, qualifying and finals.

RC car chat. My Mayako Prototype truggy was 46 laps new prior to nationals, Jackson’s was untouched. Both cars made the main to finish a long 60min final. How good. The only part to break in the other proto of triple duece VIP Burnley was an xray front arm after taking a tekno 🚜 in the face 4 times in one lap.

Great battles with all these old dogs for the minor placings across the classes. Awesome battles for the top young guns.

Headed over to TripleDuece Raceway on the weekend. Took the protoype Mayako MX8T for its first run. I found no wing best for freeing up the rear.
Great to get a couple of Litres through the engines, slowly getting ready for CMR.

Flat out at work organising the annual 4-day RC session, so whipped this up for as long back as anyone cares.

Sadly enough for me, I have raced at all of these nationals from Dunedin 2011 onwards, I think I TQ'd Round 1 of Truggy practice once. Unfortunately, there is no column in the graph to celebrate this success

Logan won the eTruggy title at Counties in 2023.

There was a separate 8th Scale electric Nationals held at Nelson in 2017 which Jayden won eBuggy & eTruggy at this event also.

There have been other EP National classes, possibly in 2013 and as far back as 2009/10.

Dusting off the FB page for a few weeks in the lead up to the CMR nationals. Fantastic to see our Nations Capital hosting the 8th Scale Nationals for the first time since 2012. 2012 was the largest entries for Nitro as far as I could research and most likely only remembered for the spines. Oh the spines. No surprise we’ve never seen them ever again.
Mike Stratford cleaned up in Buggy and Coluccio took the truggy. Both of these guys are still smooth operators of a joystick so will be great to see if they dont get lapped by the kids this year.
Mayako will be along with decent numbers and huge motivation as most of us (apart from Dylan) haven’t driven a toy car since last November’s nationals. It’s a training method that keeps us fresh. We’ve replaced all the new parts we put on our cars for last nationals with new parts for this event and we’re ready to send it in Full Maggo style ’sfinest
We’ll also have 3 of the prototype truggys in attendance and a couple cars with the laydown buggy spec.
