Last week someone kindly messaged me after spotting my work being copied.
After taking a look, I realised they were right. It wasnāt simply someone creating in a similar styleāit was an attempt to recreate my designs and sell them.
If Iām honest, it didnāt make me angry. It just left me wondering why.
One of my favourite parts of running Nelson Flower Press is receiving messages from people who tell me Iāve inspired them to start pressing flowers or creating their own art. That is one of the greatest compliments I could ever receive.
Inspiration is how creativity grows. But thereās a difference between being inspired by someoneās work and copying it to sell as your own.
Every design I create comes from years of learning, experimenting, making mistakes, and slowly finding a style that feels like mine. Itās something Iām incredibly proud of.
