Been growing these little succulents for three decades, largely ignoring them between the occasional sunburn. Turns out, that unassuming plant sitting on your windowsill is hiding a few tricks. I’ve started harvesting the leaves (there’s a specific way to fillet them so you don’t end up with the stomach-churning yellow stuff) and using it for things that usually come in expensive little bottles. You wouldn't believe what it does as a natural primer or even toothpaste. Before you hack a leaf off, read up on how to prep it properly. Your skin (and wallet) will thank you.
