Silver is the most wonderful medium to work in, I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of it. This big slab was hand carved and formed using hand tools and is a one-off. It speaks to me of the sea, the ocean shores of my home in Paekākāriki, I look at it and I can almost hear the gulls x

It’ll be on display during the or you can message me in advance if you’re interested in making it yours forever but I’ll miss it but I know I can’t keep everything but but… 🥰

Continuing my hinged hoop earring obsession here by making a larger pair of earrings for my lovely client Teresa. This is the first stage of creating lots of texture in the smooth wire which will get refined back later in the piece.

The beginning of a new collection.

This is something that’s been brewing for a while, and I’m so excited to have finally brought the first piece to life. It’s a continuation of the design language I began exploring in my Wave Forms collection last year, but pushed further, with more drama, more texture, and plenty of oxidised silver 🖤

This particular piece isn’t for sale. I made it for myself to wear while performing with Moths , and I’m planning to create a few more showstoppers in this vein (also just for me… sorry 🥰).

Pieces at this scale take a huge amount of time and materials to create, so they’ll only be available as custom commissions x

I’m running just a few sandcasting workshops this winter, where you get to spend the day with me melting silver (SUPER FUN) and then forming it into something new to take away. As promised here’s a timelapse of the carving process for three new Awa pendants. Each takes about 20 minutes to carve the pattern into and it’s a very satisfying process so I thought I’d share it. There’s more work to be done on them yet, to create the edges and a bit more dimension in the silver slab, but that’s tomorrow’s job :)
