✨What an incredible Mother’s Day weekend. Thanks to everyone who got involved with our celebration of Mamas.

We’re open Tuesday, Wednesday afternoon, and then Thursday through Sunday for your usual browse. And if you’re coming Saturday, make a morning of it, we have live jazz on the footpath and Finn’s next door is firing up the barbecue. One of our favourite weekends of the year is here, the art show always brings the most wonderful energy to this little village, and we’re here for it.
If you’re making the trip to Paekakariki this weekend, we’d love you to pop into Rhe Wobbly Pot too. We are open all weekend with a store full of beautiful Pottery and art from local artists, work you won’t find in the show and makers you might just fall in love with.

New Zealand feijoa season is here and we’re making the most of it. A simple weekday snack, fresh feijoas, yoghurt, and a little something extra. Easy, seasonal, and utterly delicious. Featuring our handmade porcelain bowl in baby pink by One of a Kind Ceramics.

Sea urchin vibes in ceramic form. 🌊

This little bowl by Neil Gardner is one of those pieces you have to pick up to fully appreciate. The outside has this incredible textured foam glaze, almost volcanic, and then you look inside and there’s this deep, moody blue-purple pooling at the base. Like finding a treasure at low tide.

Neil is among one of New Zealand’s well established studio potters, with work that serious collectors actively seek out. This glaze work is entirely his own, developed over decades of practice. It shows 🤎

You’ll find this piece (and more of Neil’s work) here at The Wobbly Pot in Paekakariki village, on the Kāpiti Coast. We’re open Thursday to Sunday, well worth the stop if you’re heading up or down the old State Highway 1.
