That’s why we created our Seedling Subscription Boxes — to make gardening simpler and more accessible for everyone.

Each of our 3 box sizes includes a thoughtful selection of certified organic seedlings designed to support healthy soil, companion planting, and abundant homegrown kai year round.

Once you’ve selected your box, choose the option that suits your lifestyle:

• One-off boxes — perfect for flexibility or garden top-ups

We designed an entire year’s garden plan so that when subscribed, you will receive a wide variety of seedlings, delivered at their ideal planting time across every season.

Whether you choose a subscription or a one-off box, every order also includes a monthly newsletter with seedling info, planting guidance, growing tips, care instructions, and seasonal insights to help your garden thrive.

Monthly seedling subscription boxes 🌱

Our seedling boxes are designed to support simple, abundant home gardening throughout the year, no matter the size of your garden or your experience level.

We offer three box sizes, each packed with a diverse mix of certified organic companion plants to support biodiversity in the garden and kitchen.

Alongside your seedlings, subscribers also receive a detailed monthly growing journal offering month-by-month guidance, practical tips, and seasonal insight so you always know how to plant, care for, and harvest your crops (exclusive to subscriptions and not included with one-off boxes).

For those who prefer flexibility, one-off seedling boxes are available for garden top-ups.

We take care of the seasonal planning and seed raising for you, so all you need to do is choose your box size, plant your seedlings, and enjoy the harvest.

A quick update for our subscribers 🙏🌱

Since our website went live on Friday, we’ve been overwhelmed (in the best way possible) by your messages, encouragement, and subscriptions.

We’re so grateful for your support as we dive into this new season and service with you. It truly means a lot to us!

A couple of quick updates:

1. We’ve understandably run into a few small hiccups, particularly around the website and shipping, so thank you for your patience while we smooth things out.

2. We have limited seedlings available for June, which means our larger Abundant Gardener Box won’t be available until the next month. In the meantime, we recommend purchasing a one-off medium Thriving Gardener Box, followed by a subscription to the Abundant Gardener in July.

This service is for you, so your questions, feedback, and suggestions are always welcomed and encouraged as we continue building this together.

Meet the founders 🌿

We are Jemma & Te Aroha, two gardeners with a shared passion for helping people grow good food.

Together we are Rooted & Rising, a collaborative project built to help reconnect people to land, food, and community by providing in-season, organically-certified, heritage seedlings and practical growing education.

Through our monthly seedling subscriptions, we aim to simplify the growing process and make home gardening more accessible and enjoyable to everyone.
