🎉 It’s Adult Learners’ Week—He Tangata Mātauranga!

This week, we’re celebrating the joy of learning, the achievements of adult learners and the connections created when people learn together. This years theme is "Finding Our Voice—Ko tōku reo, ko tōku ohooho!".

So, what happens in a group of adult learners that doesn’t happen alone?

“Collective joy!” says Billy of Yellow Plane Studio - a place where locals come and learn to express themselves through art in Pahiatua.

In Billy’s classes, learners encourage and help one another. They exchange ideas, learn from mistakes and take inspiration from each other’s projects. Every achievement becomes something the whole group can celebrate.

Across the courses Billy facilitates, she sees how learning together builds more than practical and creative skills—it creates confidence, friendship, connection and community. 🎨🤝
