Good Evening...

I would just like to apologise to anyone who has placed a book order with me that I have not responded to.

Some of you have asked for specific books and others have left me lists via text or email.

I have so busy trying to restock the shelves that I may not have responded as yet.

Please be assured your requests have not been forgotten, I just haven't gotten to them yet.

If you wanted to send me a reminder, please do so via text or email or even ring me just incase it has been misplaced in the many incoming messages I receive.

Once again, if you are one of these customers, my apologies once again.

Good Evening...
Just an addition/update to my earlier post regarding my request for no dogs in Xanadu Book Exchange carpark.
So...thankyou to everyone who understood and supported my request.
I really appreciate your kind words.

The council Dog rangers turned up at my shop today saying they had reports of a wandering and aggressive dog.
I was quite surprised when they told me they were referring to my dog.

I said...wandering where?
They said.. in your carpark.
My reply was..Firstly she does NOT wander in the carpark as I am very strict on this as she may get run over and secondly..she is only aggressive when other dogs are in her space. (Protecting me)
They said they noted she did not approach them when they arrived, so the wandering was not an issue and aggression was not a problem either as she didn't even get off her bed.

So, to the person who reported me..we both know who you are..that was a waste of your time and mine, not to mention the dog rangers..

I hope you are happy now that this matter is settled.

Good Afternoon...
Please...if you bring your dogs to Xanadu Book Exchange, can you please leave your dogs in the car.
If you are walking your dog, please keep it out the carpark as my dog Dixie is very territorial.
She loves people but wants to protect me.
Thankyou for your understanding.

I am posting this as today a lady who has been asked multiple times not to bring her dog into the carpark as Dixie is territorial once again brought her dog in and there was an issue.
The man accompanying her yelled he would take his dog wherever he pleased and I said that would not be a good idea due to Dixie.
I said as it is my shop I would like them to abide by the rules.
But unfortunately it escalated and I am not expecting to see them again.

Just an explanation as to why I am posting.

Good Afternoon...
The 80% off sale on furniture, crockery, manchester, appliances, cutlery and sundry items will finish on Sunday August 2nd.

I will then begin sorting some new stock for Spring.
I have so many lovely new items in storage, so please keep following my posts and I will post pictures as I work my way through the boxes.

I have also received into stock almost 8,000 books since the beginning of the school holidays. (Lots of clearouts)
I am almost half way through sorting these.
There are some beautiful and so many interesting books still to go on the shelves, so weekly visits are a must if possible 😊

Just a reminder both stores are closed on Monday and Tuesday, so if you send me a message on these days and I don't reply until Wednesday that is why.
If at all possible, please send your enquiries during opening hours that way you are more likely to get a quick reply..

Well, that's 1 week of the school holidays over with
